The ultimate celebration of human spirit.
The Find Your Voice Choir is the shining star that inspired the wider Collective galaxy & we promise to stay true to our roots & continue to nurture this community in light of the bigger picture!
Established in late 2017 by Warrnambool singer/songwriter, Tom Richardson, & All Abilities Advocacy mentor, Kylie Thulborn. Witnessing first hand the response and demand for creativity and community, the choir has from humble grass-roots meetings into showcase performances at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Rotary Concert for Peace and most recently to our sold-out Palais Theatre, Melbourne as part of the 2019 season of Australia's Got Talent.
That performance currently has over 50 million online views & growing.
2020 & beyond will see the introduction of writing/performing original songwriting material, professional recordings & film clips & collaborations with world-renowned artists including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, The Wiggles, Choir of Hard Knocks, Mama Kin Spender & Electric Umbrella (UK).
This musical community’s growth doesn’t show any sign of slowing, with current memberships surpassing 250 individuals from across the South West of Victoria, continuing to unify dozens of smaller regional communities in one, collective voice; farmers, teachers, quadriplegics, nurses, fishermen, transgender, artists & Aboriginal Australians all uniting & performing side-by-side.
Whether in rehearsal spaces and on stage, the community is focused on sharing their voices & shifting the narrative to one that focuses on ability rather than disability.
The choir is likely the largest of its nature anywhere in the world!
